NIKITTA Angus wowed judges on series three of The X Factor as a fresh-faced teenager looking for fame.

Now 16 years later, the singer looks very different these days but is continuing to work hard to find her place in the music industry.

The Glaswegian youngster pulled on the heartstrings of millions as she explained she was taking part in the competition in memory of her mother.

Her mum had died from cancer - just two weeks before her audition

At first gaining support from judge Sharon Osbourne, Nikitta was placed in the 16-24 category where she was mentored by Simon Cowell.

But her journey on the talent show came to an end in week five during a sing-off with Ray Quinn.

Ray went on to become a runner-up in the series to winner Leona Lewis.
