Bongani Masondo is a multitalented South African actor, singer, and scriptwriter. He is best known for his starring role as ‘Babymaker’ in the popular television series Skeem Saam on SABC1.

Early Life

Bongani Masondo was born on January 26, 1984, in South Africa.

He grew up in Spruitview and initially pursued economic sciences at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). However, he realized that his true calling was in the arts. After a week-long dispute with his parents, he left UJ to study at the Africa Film Drama Art (AFDA) school, where he earned an Honours degree in Live Performance, majoring in Screen Acting.
